Your Home Studio
Your studio is the best place to continue your elite training and make sure you have the necessary skills to make the college team of your dreams! If you’ve never done Pom, don’t worry! You don’t NEED to do Pom to be considered for college dance teams - even ones that compete in Pom! Stay focused on training in as many styles as possible and building your strength, skills, and confidence.
Your High School Dance Team.
Your high school dance/pom team is also a great place to gain additional experience in dance team style, make connections and work towards your goals with like-minded dancers and athletes. You can “do it all” as long as you’re ready for the commitment and communicate openly with both your studio director(s) and dance team coach at school! We’re all here to help and want you to be successful!
Supplemental Training
Establish your strengths and weaknesses as a dancer and carve out time in your schedule for supplemental training in the areas you need to improve (combines, classes, conventions, etc.). Being as well-rounded as possible will help you broaden your options and help you stand out to coaches amongst other recruits!
