Lesson 3: Clinics and Combines

Now you know which teams you’d like to pursue, but how do you know which teams and coaches are interested in having you on their team? It can be intimidating and overwhelming to figure out if the team you love has a reciprocated interest in you! Each school, team, and coach is different, but a great place to see where you rank compared to other recruits is at combines and clinics. Most teams have clinics throughout the year that you can attend to get in front of the coaches and establish a connection to the team. Check the team’s social media and website regularly for updates on clinic dates and registration.

Additionally, several national and regional combines bring college coaches from multiple teams together in one place! These are incredible opportunities to network. Often coaches will be able to express interest in some way at these events, whether it be through scholarships, recruit weekend invitations, email communication, or even just face-to-face conversations.
