In-person auditions
If you’re interested in a team that uses an audition based platform, you can find the team’s timeline and requirements on their website. Some schools offer prep classes or clinics to help prepare for their auditions so keep an eye on social media for those opportunities. There are likely other local or online prep classes you can find in the style of the team. Look up the social media profiles of current team members and coaches to see if they post about classes that you could take advantage of as well.
On audition day, you’ll want to show up looking the part! That could require a specific outfit, hairstyle or makeup look. Do your best to arrive at auditions looking like you fit in seamlessly with the current members of the team! That way, coaches will have an easier time envisioning you as part of their group.
Make sure you’ve done your research before the audition day on what you should expect, be prepared for all styles of dance with correct footwear, dance wear, and other attire if necessary. If you’re supposed to have learned any material ahead of time, make sure you’ve rehearsed adequately to put your best foot forward
